What is a webinar?

A webinar is a lecture, presentation workshop or interactive meeting that is held on the Internet. Using your computer and/or a telephone you can hear and see the presentation over an internet connection. The presenter will not be able to see you, neither will the others attending. Attendees are usually muted but can hear the presenter and type in questions they may wish to ask.

Tips to help you get the best experience from your webinar attendance.

Close all unnecessary programmes that are running on your computer at the same time.

  • Use headphones plugged into your computer to get the best sound experience
  • You can also use a phone to call into the webinar for sound purposes only
