Update - applies to full Associate (ADG), Member (MDG) and Fellows (FDG) who are eligible to work in schools.

We are excited about the opportunity to provide tuition for children and young people who might not otherwise receive the support they need at this time.

The Professional Tutoring Partnership is seeking to engage 175 freelance tutors.  In the first instance, we will be contacting the 400+ professional members of Patoss, BDA or The Dyslexia Guild who originally replied to our survey seeking tutors interested in tutoring with the Professional Tutoring Partnership. We are looking for tutors who share our commitment to supporting disadvantaged learners and who wish to deliver the PTP tuition programme. Our 15hrs tuition programme has a key focus on developing learner engagement and strategies for independent learning and includes the development of skills for writing and/or numeracy.

This is our first round of tutor engagement and your form needs to be with us by midday on Monday 9th November noon. We may open a second round with a specific call for tutors in particular regions.

Our new model, approved by the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) assumes that 175 tutors will work across approximately 250 schools dotted around the country. To tutor our current NTP allocation of 4584 pupils we require experienced tutors delivering an average of 7 hours of tutoring a week non-stop over two terms. This is an average and the distribution of hours over the two terms may differ and some tutors may do more and some may do fewer hours. Being able to offer more hours will help us deliver our allocation before the deadline.

From 2nd November schools started contacting us to request PTP tuition. All schools are requesting tuition to take place in schools, in line with Government regulations regarding Covid-19 and following each school's safety guidelines. We may develop an online option later in this project, with the support of the NTP.

If there are schools you are already working in or a local Special School or an Alternative Provision near you please bring do bring this opportunity for subsidised tuition to the school’s attention THIS WEEK.

Please share the tutorpartnership.com website with schools.
