  a framework for the support of adults with dyslex
 ia and co-occurring difficulties in a variety of p
 ost-compulsory education environments.  The holist
 ic requirements of the individual will be consider
 ed\, as well as the barriers that adults can face 
 once they leave school. A range of barriers to com
 petent performance\, including the operating envir
 onment will be examined as a foundation to identif
 y appropriate provision.  The materials in the uni
 t will be pertinent to those supporting adults in 
 further or higher education in work-based training
  and apprenticeships or other environments in whic
 h learning takes place with adults.</p>\n \n <h1>W
 hat can I expect from the course?</h1>\n \n <p>On 
 completion\, participants will be able to:</p>\n \
 n <ul>\n 	<li>Recognise the impact dyslexia has on
  day-to-day adult life</li>\n 	<li>Identify what s
 upport can be provided by the  setting and locate 
 external agencies that also offer support</li>\n 	
 <li>Demonstrate an understanding of underlying cog
 nitive factors in dyslexia and co-occurring diffic
