The Dyslexia Guild, our professional body

The Dyslexia Guild is a professional body with open membership, which welcomes individuals with an interest in dyslexia. These may include those who have attended our training courses, other specialist teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, special needs teachers and classroom teachers in mainstream schools.

The aim of the Dyslexia Guild is to keep members up to date with developments in the field and to encourage networking/contact between members.

Membership of the Dyslexia Guild brings the following benefits:

  • Dyslexia Review: a copy of this professional journal focusing on current best practice and its link with research - 3 times a year.
  • Annual Conference: a one-day conference on current practice and research, available to Dyslexia Guild members at a reduced rate.

  • The annual subscription is:
    • £55.00 (£45.00 by Direct Debit) for individuals (add £10 for overseas memberships)
    • £95.00 for Groups (add £10 for overseas memberships)
    • £35 for students and those who are retired (add £10 for overseas memberships)
    • FREE for students on our Postgraduate Courses

The Dyslexia Guild Group Membership

Available for schools, peripatetic services and other professional groups involved in the education of people with dyslexia. Group members receive two copies of Dyslexia Review and the reduced rate for up to three delegates at our Annual Symposium.

* Note LDA discount not available to group members.

    Practising Certificate: The Dyslexia Guild is authorised to award Practising Certificates to suitably qualified teachers entitling them to carry out assessments and write reports in support of applications for Disabled Student Allowances. For further information please click here.

DYSLEXIA ACTION LOGOS
Dyslexia Action does not authorise the use of its corporate logos by any Guild members and membership of the Guild in any form does not constitute a right to use our logo(s). If you see a Dyslexia Action corporate logo on any non-authorised site, please notify the Guild Administrator of its location.  

In an effort to prevent misrepresentation or abuse of Dyslexia Action logos, we will repeal the subscription of any Guild subscriber inappropriately using the corporate logo or associated logos. Such action will result in the loss of member benefits, which may include Assessment Practising Certificate status. The annual subscription fee will be cancelled without refund. Dyslexia Action Guild reserves the right to refuse further applications from former members who have not complied with this statement.
