Dyslexia Action's NEW Continuing Professional Development online courses have been developed specifically for Classroom Teachers and Teaching Assistants working in the primary and secondary education fields. Many units are also suitable for those working in Further Education.

The CPD courses are primarily intended for UK based applicants.  However, UK teachers working overseas in an English speaking international school may also apply.

The courses are offered as units of learning that build into the following Certificates:

Level 4 CPD Certificate in Dyslexia in the Classroom

This consists of 6 units which can be bought and studied as individual units (£195 per unit) or as Packages of 3 units (£535 per package):

Introduction to Dyslexia (Package 1) No access to a learner is required for this unit.
Dyslexia: Supporting Individuals with Memory Weaknesses (Package 1) No access to a learner is required for this unit.
Multisensory Teaching and Learning (Package 1)

Supporting Learners with Dyslexia to Develop a Positive Self-Image (Package 2)
Supporting Study Skills in Learners with Dyslexia (Package 2)
Organising and Managing the Classroom to Support Learners with Dyslexia (Package 2)

Candidates who wish to study the Certificate in Dyslexia in the Classroom course at a faster pace may like to consider enrolling on the Level 4 CPD Certificate in Dyslexia in the Classroom course via the UK Level 4 CPD Diploma route.  The course is run over a period of 5-6 months with each unit studied over 3-4 weeks.  There are no breaks between units on the intensive course.
