This course builds on and develops the skills and knowledge covered in the Certificate course and therefore only students who have successfully completed the Postgraduate Certificate may progress to the Postgraduate Diploma.
Like the Certificate, the Diploma integrates theory with practical teaching. The teaching diary continues, together with a journal of independent research and practice. There is a module that involves working with an adult learner of 16+ years, carrying out an assessment and writing a report. The course is assessed through practical teaching and two summative pieces of work- a case study and an essay.
